The WAA 2024 Poster Competition focused on Earth Day and the impact we can make on our home planet and the environment. Titled “Earth Day: Restore Our Earth” the competition was opened to all students in grades 5 through 8. Our Students began researching this important topic in January and continued to work for the next few months planning artistic and innovative ways to communicate their messages. Our three judges, Pat Crampton, Roger Curley, and Dr. Melvin Pascall choose a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner. Our students in grades kindergarten through 4th voted on their favorite posters to make up the Popular Vote award. The students who participated worked hard, and they put excellent efforts along with deep imagination and creativity into their posters. We appreciate their willingness to use their talents to take a stand on such an important topic - preservation of our home. They learned through this competition that their voices can be heard to inspire hope and direction towards a better future. We are so proud of their stellar work. We also extend our appreciation to our judges - for their willingness to give us their time, talents and artistic wisdom.
